During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

He said that 450 drones and several dozen rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
